I'm fond of worms -  ;deidre; captures the first two she meets and many after, and psi ignoring base defenses make them tres' powerful in early game...

Locusts. Vary dangerous to all units.

Isle of the Deep.  Since I most often play on huge maps with the middle water setting, capturing extra transportation can come in handy.
Your agonizer, please.

I have done it a few times - only when the tower was stacked with worms I also captured - and the tower reverts next turn.

You don't get consulted about captures, of course.

Since when does the game ask you if you want to capture or kill that worm when you have +Planet?

Some of those pesky privates are really too soft-hearted. Against the wall with them, I'd say!

So I was going through the demo version of SMAC and found this. The fish thing is called a Gulper. The whirlwind thing is a early version of the Locusts of Chiron.

The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesteryear. But it was never the streets that were evil.
