You don't need the demo for that unit.pcx file. It's in at least the GOG version as well, and probably in all versions of SMAC - check under the "color blind palette" folder. :)

Isle of the Deep all the way.  Strongest naval unit for some time and a transport?  Yes please.

Poor spore launchers, they are the unloved child of SMAX :'(.   :)

It's because of how annoying they are for bases, relatively weak and they just destroy your improvements, often quite early. And they often spawn deep in fungus, meaning marching to them to kill or capture is an annoying process.

Yeah; and they're more trouble than they're worth as NL captures - they are useful sometimes, where a plain worm is useful always.

I tend to use launchers as police units (as cult) or just throw them in the frontline to die. They defend fine with Psi, and AIs attack them. Worms are much more useful.

As for the poll.. Locusts are the best actual unit, worms are my favorite design, and IoDs make sea combat more interesting/are amazing for exploring the ocean. Launchers are annoying, and that improves the game imo. Makes you have to go hunt them down or you lose improvements. Sealurks are too rare, and Towers are cool but can't keep them as humans unfortunately.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?
