Something not so obvious for new players: only one of us will receive the global messages of the game such as "Perihelion bla bla bla: native life activity increased" or "Increased sunspot activity will prevent communication the next 20 years" or "Global warming triggered polar cap melting" and others like that.
I think it will be the last player of the turn but I may be mistaken.

If you're this one, please share the messages with us here! Thanks!

I haven't got any messages of that kind but I'll keep that in my mind. Morgan, maybe it's you who'll get those messages?

Anyway, turn for you ->  ;morgan;

There was a long discussion on whether providing this information free of charge was a charity, but it was ended when our esteemed CEO stopped it by claiming that 'there is nothing wrong with charity' and that he himself made his first capital from investments of several blind jentlemen who gathered their money from charity.

When we get any such messages, they will be shared.

 ;aki; "Sex is good for algorithms" -- A report from a governmental study, broadcasted live on The Grid to inform a maximum number of cyborgs. A two-hour conference demonstrating the benefit of sexual intercourse. A serious matter: after 20 years, birth rate is still low, and we can no longer blame the trauma due to the crash. We have to face it: cyborgs are uncomfortable with reproduction.

The site on which we landed is not very rich in nutrients, thus it was not really an issue. We had to control population anyway. But for the first time, our biologists found a way to terraform the ground in order to fit the quality standards of the Food Algorithm. The toxicity of the fungus is still difficult to terraform, but we are now able to plant farms and forest on low-fungus sites. When our terraforming robots will be programmed, food supply will no longer be a problem to increase the size our faction. But push our fellow cyborgs to have sex? I bet a conference is not enough...

Times are peaceful for a change, and our research division has achieved wonderful insight into the works of the society under duress.

Maybe some bug in this patch: if you complete a colony pod the same turn a base grows 2, it says you can't complete the pod unless you abandon the base.
That's losing one turn...  :mad:

I may be wrong, but I always observe this behavior. Seems like the city is producing before growing. It's cool when you're building recreation commons just in time, less cool when it's a colony pod in a 1-size base...

It's always been like that, production goes before growth. This is actually good, since you can complete those RecCommons before the new pop arrives. But yeah, the situation you mentioned also happens and sure is annoying.

Each individual pipe contains a hot slurry of minerals drawn from Planet's crust and makes a sound like rain falling on a tin roof. When they converge on the trunkline the sound is a terrifying thunder, a thunder of untold wealth, and power.
