;aki; Those worms are unsympathetic. They don't like the explorer team I sent to study the fongus. Maybe we have to understand their psychology to take them down...

"Do native lifeforms exist?"
An article in the "Libertarian Worker" appeared recently, speculating on the possibility of alien lifeforms. Until now we thought it's only an imagination of our sci-fi writers. Can it be true, that aliens exist? Is primitive fungi all that we can expect? Who knows! But those strange monoliths do rise some concerns. Maybe some alien civilisation lurks in the mists of unknown?

;aki; Aki's log, 2116 - A peaceful scoot team managed to survive an attack of those beautiful but aggressive worms. I took the time to go there, to congratulate them for their strength personally, and to tell them that the data they collect everyday will be able to make possible a synthetical armor as Foreman Peter showed us on the Unity's Ship, in order to defend us. Another team was murdered, I thought me showing up would not be a waste of time.

Two months later, another attack happened, and the team did not receive any armor. But strangely, even if I did not fulfill my promise yet, me coming on the field have made them stronger. The captain responsible for the safety of the exploration team told that my visit boosted their moral, as they knew the government acknowledged their effort. He told me that the first time, most of the team members were paralysed during the fight. This time, everybody was involved, and the worms have been eradicated quickly, even if the team was weak from the previous attack. They need some medical supplies, sure, I ordered them to come back to our base as soon as possible. But they managed to survive!

Looks like the worms use some psy control when they attack, and those methods don't work effectively on a morally strong troop. After establishing our new base, it seems like we must redirect our effort on creating, not a better quality of armor, but maybe a better training and rewarding of our troops, to keep their moral up.

I've managed to come early from work so just before going to a party, I've managed to make a turn! If I stop posting that means that I'm hospitalised or in custody :>

Our advance scouts have discovered most curious natural phenomena: psychoactive spores raining down from the clear sky. There was a number of casualties before our team could leave the area.
A debate is ongoing now whether this phenomena is an action of some unknown, previously not-encountered lifeform. While eggheads are discussing this, Morgan inc. Has unveiled new brand of season - Morgan's Anti-spore Umbrella (tm), avaiable in color of your choice.

"Umbrella."

That's the only word our radio cyborgs could have intercepted for now. It sounds like a TV commercial, maybe a morganite activity? It may sound cliché, but hey, he was the one who kept working on new ways for selling things on the ship, while the rest of us were amazed of his marketing creativity.

Anyway, we are not alone. Radio waves seems to be altered by the Planet, and do not permit us to contact anyone so far without a direct commlink. I think we have to keep the exploration going, maybe we'll find some human activity...

I shall not confront Planet as an enemy, but shall accept its mysteries as gifts to be cherished. Nor shall I crudely seek to peel the layers away like the skin from an onion. Instead I shall gather them together as the tree gathers the breeze. The wind shall blow and I shall bend. The sky shall open and I shall drink my fill.
