BTW, I didn't "burn my bridges with Firaxis".  2K saw my plans as competitive and so as not to cause problems for Firaxis I pulled out.

Don't blame me because 2K forgot to mark the user list private.  Not my problem.

You deliberately chose to post that picture and violate beta testers' privacy.

Don't worry, if they're not posting raving reviews on their own accord, I certainly don't give enough of a [poop] to try and contact them.

Sorry, when you agreed to the Steam User Agreement you signed away all rights to privacy.  Besides, an internet handle is not enough to breach privacy.

Here we go... They went through this at Triumph where I was lurking. Except there it was jealousy and the old hardcore vs casual hatred arguments.

Anyone else find the NDA stuff and forum stuff that goes on in betas kind of silly?

Dale did not violate anything by posting a portion of his UI on Steam. Dale has not signed anything, either. Hints of self importance, regardless, I appreciate Dale letting us know beta exists and an insight into this. That was a community service.

Maniac has not violated anything. Nor do I think he should be upset. Although I do strongly think Firaxis should PAY Maniac and others if they expect them to do QA work and consulting work as an experienced modder and knowledge base on this genre. If not a decent figure, at least enough for a few beers.

A lot would be solved just by letting the beta testers post content after the game gets to a certain point. It has worked for other games and is good for marketing and good for a better game. There are some things the hardcores will not catch that other gamers would.

Dale and Maniac alike have earned any self-importance they may, or may not, feel as longtime major heavy d00dz in the community.  Just sayin'.
