ADK Halloween... This one seems incomplete; some of the buttons aren't there. I'm not wild about the pumpkin header and flames background, but the orange and black design around everyone's username/shop items, etc. is very attractive.

This is a theme that could be quite nice if it were tweaked some. The buttons need work, and maybe the forum banner could be centered so the pumpkin isn't so there.


EDIT: What happened to the Mayals  theme? I never got a chance to try it.

As for going back over the ones I had issues with, I'm going to have to ask your patience for a bit. I have some RL stuff that needs doing, so I'm going offline for awhile - be back in a few hours.

I found an option to turn off the special scripts that were messing up the page-top menus in impulse2 yesterday, but that made the menu go away on the Front Page completely.  I opted not to do that and spent considerable time today scratching around trying to find a way to fix that attempt-at-sidebar that was messing up the Front Page.

Well, I finally concluded that who needs anything but an obvious link to the forum there?  -And so I turned off the problem crap and put a hyperlink on the banner image and added an 8pt. line that said "Enter AC2 Forums" underneath - and would have left it like that if it hadn't insisted on opening in a new tab.  I didn't love that the link was grey and not underlined as a link, either, so I was looking to at least recolor THAT when I accidentally changed the background around the banner green, and found out the menu was there in white.

So that's where we stand.  impulse2 is fixed.

I need to double-check everything in IE - I notice the lovely color alteration I did tonight to Autumn shows as white in IE, for some reason.  Y'all check for me in Firefox, please.

Thanks for the overview BU. Looks like we have a nice collection of themes  to choose from. I think everybody should be able to find a theme in colors he/she likes now.

I just realised  that EC  (and items) do not show in posts when using the SMAX theme. I don't know if this is a browser issue since I'm using my mobile device at the moment. I'll have another look as soon as I'm at my PC.

I'm not going to comment on the default theme since I expect it must be working fine. According to the little note beside it, 11,603 people are currently using it, so they must be happy with it.

The same number of people are using SMF Default Theme - Curve. This leads me to wonder if the numbers of users means all the SMF forums currently active, since I know we don't have 11,603 members here.

Green Core: Nice and clean, except the shop items are missing. They're in my inventory but not visible in the sidebar with my avatar, etc.

Enterprise: The one I normally use; thanks for fixing the invisible link issue in the pinned topics! 

Dark Blue Eyes: Much nicer now!  The problems I see now are that the text in peoples' signatures is nearly invisible, especially in the darker blue areas. The font color for the sigs should be changed to basic black. Other invisibility issues (also with font) are where it says "Valka, BUncle and 0 Guests are viewing this topic.". The colored fonts are somewhat visible but the "and 0 Guests..." part just fades out against the blue background. I think this could benefit from a font color change to either white or off-white; greys just fade out and aren't readable. It's the same issue for the page number. I can easily see the numbers of the pages I'm not on, but the page number I am on isn't really visible.

Okay - I've done some fixing up on Astronomy.  Check it out, or hit refresh to see the updated thumbnail.

I'm probably going to cast Dark Blue Eyes into the outer darkness in favor of impulse2.  The problems with the userhandles visibility  isn't fixable - those are the same in all themes, and I'd have to change the background color.

It's not them so much as the font color for the page numbers, etc. There should be a way to fix that.

I honestly do like it better than ImPulse2.

Some weird stuff is going on with Gone Fishin'. Parts of the reply window are appearing and disappearing. I'm going to reboot and see if that helps.

I'll totally run down and tweak little issues like the font color for the page numbers, etc., in themes I end up keeping.  It's hours of work to track down, sometimes, and I don't want to waste effort.

Okay this Gone Fishin' theme, while nice to look at, just isn't functioning for me. Parts of it keep vanishing and coming back, and it's unusable. I have no idea why.

I've done some upgrades to SMACX today - it needs eyeballs enjoying it and the improvements.

...I've, maybe, run out of tweaks and improvements I know how to do that I want to until such time as the final list is finalized.  That Beginners' Guide has had the editing neglected for too long...

Could there be a version of the SMACX theme where the faction symbols on the left side are replaced by the leader heads instead?
