Gentlemen, excitement is in the air as the next round of election is coming this mission year! Let me introduce our current candidates:

In the left corner we have Brother Kirov of the Peacekeepers. A staunch democrat, firmly committed to the ideals of peace (hence the name), long life and prosperity. In his free time, he minds his own business and makes no territorial claims against any other faction. He has a dream that all the factions will be able to live in harmony. He definitely has no transport fleet to move any troops abroad, promise. He is a go-to candidate for anyone who just wants to pursue his or her scientific, socialist or naval agenda*.

In the right corner we have Prophet Yabcok of the Cult of Planet, who is also very cool. He runs a remarkable police state and is the only leader boasting 100% support of his Class 1 citizens. A friend to people and worms alike. A great spiritual successor to some most renown figures of the twentieth century. Not a hero we deserve, but a hero we have nevertheless. „As brilliant as he is tasteful” (Worm’s Digest), „Jesus and Robocop rolled into one” (Planet’s Review). Voted „Sexiest Man Alive” by The Cult’s Tribune with a landslide of 300% votes (multiple votes could be cast). Gentlemen, let’s hear it to Prophet Yabcok!

Congratulations to our new Planetary Governer, Kirov of the Peacekeepers! I am sure you will exert your powers fully to ensure the most peaceful decades yet experienced on this planet.

Thank you, dear Provost, but I believe congratulations are due to all of you, as you are the true heroes of our election night.  It's not me who won the office, it's you guys who won a bright future for our children! It was a most shrewd thing to do and therefore, pardon my candidness, I didn't see that coming. But you made it nevertheless! I'm proud and I actually cried a little.

Let me also thank the incumbent Bodissey and let me shake hands with my opponent, Prophet Yabcok. Peaceful transition of democratic power is so important in these dire times.

The next logical step, obviously, is for all of you to unite behind me as the Supreme Leader. Before you ask, I know, I know this title sounds extremely North Korean and some intern obviously got a little carried away at the copydesk. In reality, I would actually be for you someone like a father you probably never had, I can't help but think. I would devote myself to book reading and leave you to your own devices and only step in if you manage to hurt yourselves. In game terms, we can call in a draw but I prefer to think we all win together!  Give it a thought, you don't have to say anything now, but I'll let it sink in.

Dear Governor, please accept my heartiest congratulations! It was a real pleasure to compete with such a magnificent personality you are representing!

It’s really nice to hear that you feel like our father, but I’m afraid that no matter the celebration time we’ve got at the moment, I’ve to pass some bad news about your children. The time for one of them has already passed – I’m not as understanding and generous like you, so I will no longer tolerate Foreman’s traiterous behavior! Therefore only one of your children will soon be left, depending on who survives the warfare.

Foreman, please keep the gifts you offer, so you'll be able to compensate some other treachery you will surely perpetrate in the future, and arm your weapons instead!

As former planetary governor I just wish the best of luck to my successor.
As I look back at those years I had this mandate, I recall that all the factions stayed in peace and that's the achievement I'm the most proud of.
I hope the next 20 years will be as peaceful.
