Guys, I think I forgot to mention - since we're using scient's patch, please use the stockpiling energy thing, it's a small thing but balancing for fight-oriented factions, like Prophet Yabcok here, who's asking for some serious sanctions at this moment, really.

I already used stockpile, so if you outvote on this issue, I'll need to burn some EC. But I really recommend this solution.

To remind you how it works: we put 'stockpile energy' in the build queue, but only after units. If you do this for buildings or projects, you will actually lose money. For the same reason, never put anything else to the queue. Just stockpile after units and that's it.

EDIT: typos

My vote is not to use it - it forces micro-management and when anyone use this, the rest of the players is forced to do the same, to not to lose the benefits.

I think this is not about voting,  generally it has to decide every player for themselv.
this is not so demanding micro-management,

For momentum players (usually a lot of cities) it really is, but of course can be handled. Game rules we decided to use starting this game were not to exploit that bug, but we can change them if you like – I’ll follow the majority.

I'm for the stockpile energy. I can't seem to remember if it's allowed or not. Thanks to my goldfish brain.

I didn't want to impose stockpiling on anyone, but right now the votes are at least 2:1 in favour, so there's that.

Yabcok, I know that inserting stockpile can be tedious, but honestly I think it's the only way to make up for what momentums lose. It's called a bug as I seriously doubt that the design was thought-out to give money only for facilities and not units. So basically, we just fix a problem which made it into the final version, but shouldn't. One of the reasons I wanted to use kyrub's patch was that he was supposed to fix it (which I believe meant that nobody got any free money whatsoever). But if we switch to scient's, we need to at least discuss this issue. And as I said, I strongly recommend this solution, partially because we have a faction like yours and I don't want you to be at a disadvantage (I already know I'll regret it, but that's a different issue). ;)

roninscg, Yabcok is right, either we all do it or all refrain from it. Leaving it to the personal choice introduces imbalance, unless you really just don't care, don't want to be bothered and are fine with losing extra cash. Nobody is going to force you to stockpile.

Since I started stockpiling earlier than others, I've burnt 10 EC, the output of 3 productions completed.

if we vote, I'm voting for stockpiling,

anyway I'm used to using stockpiling.

Rules for the fully patched game (including the unofficial patch):
.
6. Stockpiling in build queue allowed when building units. (of course when building sp/facility too, but it's not needed to do anything to gain those bonuses too)

@Kirov- why do you hate me?  :)
