+2 minerals at every base every turn. Seems like a good thing, which it is - until the ecodamage increases.
I'm going to have to check, but I could've sworn the in-game description reads +2 minerals per base, not +50% production per base.
It does. The effect however is a lot more powerful.

The BMT produces +50% minerals at each base (before any other mineral multipliers are considered). See, for example, this discussion. The original datalinks incorrectly state that it produces +2 mins/base. GooglyBoogly's datalinks update (and presumably subsequent updates) corrected the entry to show +50% mins/base.

Yes. In fact, I just ran a test using the scenario editor. A base was producing 8 mins before any facilities or SPs. Adding a Genejack Factory increased the mins to 12. Adding a Robotic Assembly Plant resulted in 16 mins and adding a Nanoreplicator increased the mins to 20. Finally, adding the BMT resulted in 24 mins/turn. So each facility/SP increased the mins by 50% over the base value of 8.
