I got a message that a Cyber Con city had been submerged and lost.  (I also hate rising water!)

I got another message that sea levels are dramatically risking.

Since I am generating almost no ecodamage, I am wondering if there is a bug, or if you are generating a lot of ecodamage?

Good luck!

Same with me, I am generating almost no ecodamage, perhaps is from the terraforming?

Weird.  Well, I am generating some ecodamage this turn and probably the next few, due to completion of some Genejack Factories.  But I am also building Centauri Preserves as fast as possible to counter.

But in previous turns I was generating little to no ecodamage.

It seems that something is wrong here.  I was always assuming my opponent was generating a lot of ecodamage.

I think boreholes and stuff amplify the damage, but if you are not producing ecodamage in the first place, I don't think they are supposed to have an effect.

I am beginning to wonder if there is a bug such that damage reducing structures are "causing ecodamage", even though the cities show zero or near zero ecodamage.  Because I have a lot of tree farms.

Anyway, I got a message about another 333 sea rise in the next 20 years.

Next game, I think I will find a patch that completely eliminates rising water.  It is just to much boring micromanagement to keep up with it.

Probably you're right and rising water very very boring. :)

As I wrote in the previous post I think that Yitzi's unofficial SMAX patch 1.3 solves these things.

I wonder if there is a way to apply the patch mid-game?

I tried and it is not good now to switch, shows  ecodemag abnormally large, for example in some cities that now show ekodemage 0, with Yitzi's unofficial patch show 380   :)

I think that on the map also must to do some changes and only then patch will work as expected.

OK, next game then.  I don't think I am going to play another game of SMAC without risking water suppressed.  It makes the game FAR too tedious.

I have often been asked: if we have traveled between the stars, why can we not launch the simplest of orbital probes? These fools fail to understand the difficulty of finding the appropriate materials on this Planet, of developing adequate power supplies, and creating the infrastructure necessary to support such an effort. In short, we have struggled under the limitations of a colonial society on a virgin planet. Until now.
