Has anyone noticed any pod patterns in the games?

I am hitting the pod lottery in LMS1, with several AAs and Monoliths.

With LMS2, I am mostly getting crappy things like energy bonuses or mindworms.

Just wondering if it was just the luck of the draw.

Nothing special here, apart from that deluge for me and Green1. Some good some worthless pods (no mind worms so far) in both games. A streak of 3-4 very good pops is not that unlikely in my experience. In one game being played here I've had like 5 instabuilds so far. Not in a row, but per 15 or so pods it was pretty cool. Of course, your luck runs out the farther you get from your bases...

There has been nothing really for me to get real excited by on any of the pops except i did get a tech for LMS 2 that will really come in handy.

Guys, you won't believe this - I got a flood from pods in both games!  ??? Fortunately, in the second one I managed to grab some screenshots which I will soon post in the 'bugs' section. Please avoid that thread until we're done here, will you? ;)

This time I don't even bother to ask you to replay, and for a good reason - I noticed what we with Green1 had overlooked before - the flood affects all four starting players and their starting points equally. Seriously, in both games the entire planet starts to resemble swamps. So I think it goes without saying that we can only reload such events.

One more thing - this time the pod triggered both the flood and then a normal earthquake like a standard outcome. There is no way this is not a bug.

t_ras, did you make the maps from a scratch or use the random generation option? Sisko says the former may be the cause of our troubles (I've never heard of such a bug, but then again I'm not a CMN).

Have you heard of such a bug?
yep. if you start your map from scratch when building the scenario, the there will be floods during the first turns of the game. you shlould always start building the map from a random generated one.
Well, I think it is in the CMN academy standard procedure, butI overlooked it since the reason was not stated, so it seemed to me a waist of time. Now I know.

Until now the battle had been proceeding smoothly. The enemy was outflanked and had been driven from the reactor housing, but against the reactor itself the matter canons were strangely ineffective. Rounds simply-stopped-in mid air.
