Maybe a next post could be to explain how to CMN a game or how to use the map editor more clearly? I don't know if there are any post like this yet...

I have the "Planitary Pack" and attempted to patch according to the patching section here
but the first of the 2 patches failed to execute.

So now what?

maybe try another patch from a different website I might think, or try another version of SMACX... personally, I had to download both  SMAC and SMACX separately to make the game work without problem...
