The THRONEroom v. the Doge on his box
« on: February 27, 2023, 01:40:47 AM »
It just aggravates me.

THIS is what I like:

Not necessarily this final runway carpet to the throne - not necessarily the checkerboard floor over the previous rich shag carpet.  But this, basically.  A proper throne on a dais, a crown tapestry behind.  It's good.

But NOOOO.  The game has to go on from there, taking away the tapestry, the good throne, and replace them with effete renaissance junk.

Who, I ask you, WHO never wanted to be King Arthur, but DOES want to be the Doge of Venice sitting on a box instead?  Atlas and the tribute/treasure is okay, but gimme back my proper throne on a dais and royal curtain; away with your silly cloth crown!

Thoughts?

-And the game FORCES you to participate in the destruction of what is good for what is busy and off-putting.

The Progenitor race appears to sense, and possibly even manipulate, local fields an untrained human cannot percieve without mechanical aid, including at the very least electricity and magnetism. This sensitivity creates entirely new worlds of artistic endeavors for the race- or it may be developed into a powerful combat awareness that can foil any attempt at surprise.
