Map Size: With 4 players I absolutely want large!
just a thought: large map usually means lots of bases to micromanage by MY2200. i think you will have enough space to expand on a standard size map even with 3 AIs present.

Ok, I think sisko's idea is a good compromise, though I would think about 5-8 pods would enough. They can make such a difference in early game, this would be too strong.

Well, i rather feel that pods are better being scattered acros the world than all placed next to starting place. Soo thats why i gues i change my vote to to Yes for random Supply pods  :P

spoils of war is part of the strategy in the game, if I take sparta, I do it not for reaserch oviusly.
It gives too much advantage to the other factions.

Do as you want, but in faction wise spartans dont have any significant penalties on research compared to peacekeepers or gaians. Its prob just your mindset saying that spartans can only play as conqueror type, which isnt the case. They can also be builders if its suit em better situtaion wise, and have good perks to do that too if you know what you are doing.

And even so, playing as conqueror is still very do able even without spoils of war. For that, im just gonna leave a free protip here: Probeteams.

This isnt a big deal to me, but is it on ladder rules to have average settings on random maps factors (ocean erosion etc.)?
