Lowest resolution or increasing text size

Hello,

It appears () that the minimum vertical resolution is 768 for the GOG version, with lower resolutions cutting off some information.

It seems unlikely that a game this old demands a higher resolution than 720p, and I found an ancient mention of 800x600.

I would like to play the game on my 720 monitor with the text as large / legible as possible. Is there any known method for increasing text size?

The UI aside from the map is hard coded to fit two resolutions: 800x600 or 1024x768. Unfortunately if you don't give it enough vertical space, you will have the tops of various screens cut off. I deal with this when I play on an ancient 720p TV. You don't really lose valuable information, but you can't resize text AFAIK.
