This is our starting position. I will play 2101 to set up the game, so there is no attached save.

In the first turn, there is few things to decide. I would vote for:
- settle in place, river will give +1 energy.
- Access to sea can be important, there would be only 1 (well... actually 2) sea tiles to block enemy access from sea, if settled there.


Research is blind, so what priorities? Centauri Ecology is probably most important to get formers, so setting Explore is my vote.


The second colony pod. For me it may difficult to be objective, I know the map at the moment. And maybe later it could be posted for everyone to view it. We will see. Meanwhile, if judgeing from the screenie, any proposals?

Free Drone Central established. It makes synth garrison, and it is already 10/16.





I chose to move colony pod south, using river. And another reason it is south, is that if I did not know the map, it looks somewhat better for a base. This 3-tiles patch of fungus to the north-east looks like making the travel there longer.
Colony pod moved 2 tiles, but scout did not.
Research set to Explore only. It is most likely Centauri Ecology next, I got rarely Doctrine Mobility as the first explore tech for a faction not having Cent. Ecology.

Starting from 2101 turn attached in TTT.
Drones have actually -2 Research, so till 2110, there should be no lab points collected. This makes possible to get more economy till 2109.


Prposed actions:
- hurry synth unit, full cost 8 EC.
- Colony pod will probably go South. It would be good to get that monolith in water in base cross.
- scout follows cp.


Any other proposals or comments?

There is second monolith. I would establish a base where colony pod is now. Although it is only 3 tiles from HQ base, but it is not dense ICS any more.
Unless there are counter-proposals?


HQ base completed synth unit. Next is scout and then colony pod.

Life is slow and easy for Drones in 2104.


- scout in Free Drone Central is ready in 2 turns.
- synth garrison in Hammer and Tongs next turn!
- Economy gets us 5 EC/turn
- Research 1.6 lab points (wasted, and it will be so till 2109).
