It is year 41 in the save. It seems save file is wrong
PS. in my opinion, numbering saves is a better way then reusing the same name

Maybe you messed the files.

Please bear with me for a small delay. My copy doesn't work under Win10. If a solution fails, I'll play from my laptop, but I freakin' hate playing SMAC from that.

I'm so sorry guys. Not only RL hit me, but I had/have somewhat of a crisis with SMAC (although my other game is much more affected), recently I upgraded to Win10 on my main rig and it won't start SMAC under any circumstances (I have vanilla GOG, tried all those compatibility options, nothing). My laptop starts the game but I got 3 crashes during unit movement. Eventually I had to dust off my previous rig, composed mainly of dust and wires for the past 4 years. It won't add to my speed if I have to rely on a separate computer, but I'll do my best to be faster in the future.
