No it didn't, but that was no bad thing. It was exactly how I expected.
The problem is this exam was only about the second half of the semester and I was sick almost all of that time, so I didn't really know what to expect in the exam. I did good at the exam of the first half however.

I was in that exam to get an idea of what I have to learn for the uh... re-exam? (I don't know how its called in english). However I still studied from the notes of another student, so I was able to catch the meaning of the questions.

Long story short:
Now I know what to prepare for march

The term is "retake". It's used particularly in the context of recordings (films, music for example) and examinations. Both a noun and a verb.
