I altered some permissions yesterday to allow staff, including CMNs, to promote posts to the Front Page -last I knew of, it's broken, or there's some new hoop to jump sisko hasn't told me about ('cause it used to work before he fiddled with the news over BE; which I finally found out how to make BE promotes work, recently), and I have to just start a new thread in Chiron News Network, like anyone else, but it'll be fixed someday- and you also have access to create articles in Articles now.

-I don't know that it would be even a faintly bad thing to make a Front Page news item of it any time a PBEM is organizing/TTT started.  (Or OCC or Succession Game, or what have you  - I always promoted the heck outta GOTMs, and did so w/ the current succession game.)  I can promote stuff like that elsewhere and draw more MPlayers, some of whom will work out.  Newbs are where little MPlayers come from, you know, but you gotta let the lurkers know you exist...

Articles articles to do with MP stuff would also serve as lurkerbait.  I think you could even create a section just for that, now, ATTN: Mart...

I'm skipping cities for the Highlands, I'm more of a hiking bloke. We're going N of Glasgow to some national park and planning to hit nearby mountains, then farther N to the area around Fort William, with Ben Nevis, the highest peak on the Isles. Ideally, 20-30km worth of hiking per day, I'm training to my next walking marathon, 100km in October. A pub with local whiskey is all the civilization I'm gonna need. ;) Of course, it's gonna rain like it's a funeral in a Hollywood movie.
