Another question: this game shall probably be heavy on diplomacy. Should we consider bilateral agreements as binding?
What do you mean by 'binding'? Deception is always an option.
If someone propose me a cooperative victory if I pact with him, I'll probably refuse if I think he may stab me in the back sooner or later.

As it is, the co-op is on but I'm strongly against it. If you guys are determined, we can play with it on, but if I notice anyone relying on a 100% perma-alliance where everything is shared, I will feel a great distaste. Please don't abuse this rule even though it begs to be abused.
