I reloaded after a crash.  I don't reload after battles; this turn, I lost 2 battles after reloading where the odds were in my favor, and I won them the first time, but I have to reload after a crash, and subsequently lost the battles.  So the reload was not done to help me; it ended up turning me.

Would it mess up the game if we all moved to Yitzi's patch?  It seems to have fewer bugs/crashes.

I fear of moving to a different patch in midgame, spcially because I think that I know remember somthing Yitzi said about keeping data in the sav file in a different way (I I should have remembered this when you and Ronin moved to the patch...)
And if you lost a battle you won I think it would be fair to let you replay.

It is the nature of crashes.  If I had previously lost the battle, but crashed, and then won, I would have kept the won result, because the crash was not my fault, and otherwise, it would require more reloads for me to lose.

In this case, I had won a battle, then crashed, then lost, so I keep the lost result, just as I would have kept the won result earlier.  Because otherwise would require more reloads.  I don't think we want to go there.  I do sometimes save a checkpoint in a very long turn if I am about to do something risky like popping a pod which could wipe out all civilization with a tidal wave.  Then if disaster strikes, I can reload to the moment before, with nothing lost.

I agree with EM and I would suggest that everyone moved to last Yitzi's patch

And when at last it is time for the transition from megacorporation to planetary government, from entrepreneur to emperor, it is then that the true genius of our strategy shall become apparent, for energy is the lifeblood of this society and when the chips are down he who controls the energy supply controls Planet. In former times the energy monopoly was called 'The Power Company', we intend to give this name an entirely new meaning.
~CEO Nwabudike Morgan 'The Centauri Monopoly'
