I think there is a bit of a problem with the scenario design.  I beat back Sparta successfully (with PK), but now Usurpers are killing me.  They destroyed 3 more units last turn, including the last of my mind worms.  I know the power graph shows me leading, so poor pitiful me, but this is because of the infrastructure investment I have made.  I never expected to have to repel this level of firepower at this early point in the game.  I have infiltrated Usurpers, so I am able to see their units, which I have attached.

To hit the high points, they have 2 Ogres and 15 rovers!  How exactly am I supposed to fight that, after already having exhausted most of my initial forces on Sparta?!?

I know I am a very good player, but I don't think this is possible.

Placing a player sandwiched between Sparta and Usurpers is a VERY BAD IDEA!!!  In fact, having Usurpers in the game at all is a bad idea.  The Alien factions are far more powerful than any other faction, and it is extremely difficult to win against them unless you first have a long time (60+ turns) to make a superior build.

Anyway, does anyone else share a border with Usurpers?  I think the Free Drones may have contact, which may be why they are down so low on the power graph.  I think the only chance we have is for ALL the human players to try to help each other to beat back Usurpers.  Because once they destroy me, I doubt anyone else will survive.

Finally, does anyone have Attack 4 that they can trade or give me, or can anyone research it pretty soon?

Yeah, I guess I kind of screwed this up.  As soon as Sparta started coming after me, I should have evacuated to the main island.  But early in the game, I thought Hive was waiting for us there.  I did not realize it was an unoccupied (treasure trove?).

Now I have two SPs built, and I am reluctant to run, and hand them off to Usurpers.  Oh well, maybe the human players will be willing to help me try to fend of Usurpers, or maybe they will just flee.

If I can get 4 attack before the Ogres advance too far, I might be able to eventually stop Usurpers.  Luckily, the AI still plays in a fairly brain dead manner, despite the crushing superiority of forces.

My foult. I should have though Usurpers would be too much and I took it for granted you'll think about the mail iseland escape.
Any way, since no one player can win the game alone, I guess humans should be help in each other at the beggining to take care of the AI.

A ship at sea is its own world. To be the captain of a ship is to be the unquestionable ruler of that world and requires all of the leadership skills of a prince or minister.
