i guess you don't want either tech stagnation or spoils of war in the game.

@Eartmichael: are you ok with the unofficial patch being used or not?

Because of the position each faction gets in the turn order, some techs may not be available at start.
@both of you: is there any tech that you want to be available to research from the first turn?
if so, please PM me that tech.

I just downloaded and installed the unofficial patch, and it seems to work fine, so I am OK with using that.

roninscg, you can have your choice as to whether to play with tech stagnation or not.  I am OK either way.  It is very different game based on this setting, but I find both are enjoyable.

So to update your chart:

Game Version: SMACX with Unofficial Patch
Diplomatic Victory: Off
Tech stagnation: roninscg choice, I am good either way
Spoils of War: Off

One last thing, what do you want for starting units?

I would like to start with at least 2 colony pods and 4 scouts with each faction to get off to a bit of a faster start.  That seems like a good expedited start.
If you want more than that, it is probably OK with me up to a certain point, say no more than 4 colony pods and 8 scouts.  By scouts I mean just 1/1/1 independent units.  Nothing fancy.
I am OK with any choice you want to make between these two extremes.

For turn rate, I can usually do 2/day or more at the start, particularly if I receiver the turn by 7 AM Central time, so I can get a turn down before I go to work.  Otherwise, it might only be 1/day. 

I PMed sisko my starting research tech for each faction.  I want to make sure that each team would have the other teammates comm frequency from the start, but not the comm frequencies for the enemy factions, so that our teamed factions can trade tech with each other from the start.

roninscg, just PM Sisko with your starting research preferences for each faction.

Also, can I get a copy of the Vets Map that is being used?  I have an old copy, but it might have been modified since then.  I would like to make sure I have the latest version.

my time is GTM +1, and I usually available from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm :)

ok. i finally have something for you.
i had to rebuild the scenario as the excel tool i have has failed me. now i hope everything will be as you wish on the starting tech options.
the first save is for roninscg since he's first in the turn order
you can find it attached to this post.

if you find anything strange or wrong please let me know. it's possible since i finished this at 1AM and i'm very tired.

you can attach in this thread your saves or you can send them by email (i would like to receive them in copy in this case) but please post here every turn to keep track of the game as i want to post 'status reports' every 10 turns for those interested in the result of this game.
