I just suspect that it will look like the wrong angle to be lying flat on the water.

Now that I look back at it, I see the difference in the stage four bases - but it isn't that obvious.  Maybe the gold roof is still a good idea.

this evening i'm going to think to play a match with that faction so i can test it and see what's wrong

i'm working on union graphics, this is the last result but i'm not sure expecially on base stage 4 (the landscape appear coherent)

The Diplomacy Landscape is fine - it looks like it could easily be of the front of the same building as the stage three and four bases.

Here, I do see the difference in the stage four base, but I wonder if you should do something to make that tower stand out more.

Hmm.  This faction is about keeping the Unity mission together and the United Nations theme is taken, so maybe think in terms of a mission patch like astronauts wear?  A silhouette of the ship wouldn't be difficult to make...

yesterday evening i try CONFEDERACY ARMADA in the game.
I hadn't copy the results of the pcx in a blank pcx so there were trasparency bugs.
I exit from the game and make cut past in a blank pcx and save.
After i had change the coluours faction, when i'm going to post the final version of this faction (tested and fixed) you can see the new colours (meanwhile i discovered the meaning of each box, if the case i can post a windows of explation in graphics thread)
At the end of edit i reload faction from alpha editor to join faction in selectable (without saving, just add to the game) - question : you do this for add one or there's another method
(like progenitor races) Results: faction is too cool and bases are perfects included water base at stage 1

Are you talking about using FACEdit?  I wouldn't touch that nasty thing; it's broke, and tends to mess up your files.

If you are talking about faction installation, this is why you put the "#CONFEDERACY" line in your faction .txt.  Open alphax.txt and look for the line "#CUSTOMFACTIONS" near the bottom.  Under it, make it read "CONFEDERACY, CONFEDERACY" like so:
#CUSTOMFACTIONS
CONFEDERACY, CONFEDERACY

-You can add up to seven custom factions at a time, for a total, along with the #FACTIONS and #NEWFACTIONS sections for the SMAC and SMAX factions, of 21 selectable to include seven at a time in a game.

Is that what you were asking about?

The official editor sucks hard.  It doesn't run at all for many people and often messes everything everything up for those who do.  All the old-timers in modding will tell you the same thing.

It's possible rename line #CUSTOMFACTIONS to make a box of fixed selectable new custom factions ...  :) surely uncle understand me but to be more clearly the question is if it's possible create a unique box for the custom factions i'm going to project and how do it

You can either replace the original 14 factions or use the custom factions drop down thing. :) It's one or the other I am afraid...

I meant that that's what the "#CONFEDERACY"  line is for - that's where the game checks to see if it's the faction you installed in alphax.txt, not the filename.

I don't know any way to alter the faction select screen.
