I was beginning to wonder if anyone would ever care.  I only spent six days straight of constant obsessive work figuring it out.

Question for the peanut gallery:  in the Firaxis theme, do I leave the Alien Crossfire box cover new-posts/no-new-postsf icons alone, or shall I replace them with the Firaxis red spiral image?

I set the background on the SMAC theme to be contained within the viewport (i.e. background is stretched on high resolution displayed and shrunk on low resolution displays).

-Just more black will do on Firaxis having the same problem.  -Would that be as simple as adding #000 in front of the bg_body url in the .css?

So any green is too much green?  You may have a pleasant surprise if you put on the Firaxis theme and refresh, if you've looked at it before.  The thumbnail is a TEENY bit out of date, you see.

Could easily just keep the current SMAC theme for those that like it and add a new SMACX theme.

As for your query, BUncle, I don't quite understand what you're asking. If you want the area not covered by the background image to be black, you can do so with #000, as you say, or you can just add a background-color: black; directive.

I'm thinking about the Kilkakon large monitor problem.  I'd need to throw in a center command on the background, wouldn't I?
