Great to see this coming to start! I am  with the rules you posted... interesting change in alphax.txt, i do not knew there was a way to not have commlinks between human players at the start of the game.

BTW, i just came to a mall for wifi access, and got a free breakfast from a previous person that bought it but did not ate it. Why do people continue doing that? Felt so fortunate had to share it with you.

Dont know why it jumped to 2102 tough.  Now its 2103 to you.  Perhaps because i entered my password wrong several times?

nothing strange there. your game has started in 2102 because i had to use the first turn to set the passwords. i should have told you that. sorry.

that's a bug that strikes those how play scenarios (your case too).
there's a simple way to fix it, but it will only work for this PBEM. you have to open the Alpha Centauri.Ini file in the main game folder, look for the faction order lines and replace them with the following lines:

Faction 1=CYBORG
Faction 2=GAIANS
Faction 3=HIVE
Faction 4=ANGELS
Faction 5=MORGAN
Faction 6=UNIV
Faction 7=PEACE
now, if you load the save after you made these changes, the colors will be all fine. i will post the faction order in the first post of this thread for easy finding.

we have also a tool for easy making and swapping of the .ini files of various PBEMs. i will post a "how to" if you're interested in using it.
