Largest SMACX stories
« on: March 29, 2015, 12:56:46 AM »
What are the largest SMACX stories, that you know of? I do not think here about many short fanfiction stories, but those much larger ones.

- Michael Ely's books. I read them and liked them, though at places they were not exactly what I imagined when playing the game.
- Spartan Chronicles. I only started to read them, and from its first chapters, as multi-author effort, having multiple plots, it looks like an excellent story.

Any other? I have seen on Apoly, BAC (Beyond Alpha Centauri), another cooperative effort, looks like a larger work.
I remember Melian was setting up a larger cooperative effort, but it probably never actually started.

Joe by Alinestra Covelia - it's posted over at 'poly, and rightly, I think, considered a classic.

Joe doesn't seem to be accessible anywhere any more. Do you have a copy?

I’ve not read it, but the Wizard of Chiron by Raging Mouse might be even longer than Joe.

For the links to stories with the current version of the forum, see this index.

The LP I did back in the day was pretty lengthy, with a lot of supplemental material in the thread.  The main updates can be found at:

If you happen to have Something Awful forums archive access, you can read the original thread with the large amount of supplemental material and audience involvement at:

Hopefully this proves interesting to at least some people, and I always appreciate hearing from people who read my work.  Please feel free to drop me a PM if you end up looking.
