Maybe this is my mistake, I know how people love the WP and I used to love it, too, but now I lean towards drone-related SPs more. Remember that early WP only gets you foresting faster, early boreholes at -/2/2 are not that good, while drone SPs can help you both expand early and pop-boom later.

Besides, for Morgan there is this nice synergy of the PTS + HGP, when you build new bases at 1 talent/1 worker/1 drone. This can potentially much more powerful army of formers, and with energy points to boot.

There were other factors behind my want for the Weather Paradigm. Remember that I can field a large number of Terraformers for free. Also I would like to report a bug at one of my bases.

I reported the bug and I am okay with continuing as is. I simply wanted to note that a minor bug was presently effecting a single base under my control.

What is the bug?

I've just realized that with all that money I get, I'm the closest we have to the Batman.

One of my bases is not supporting as many units as it should for free.
I also know that Morgan is probably going to take over this planet since he is now working on the Maritime Control Center.

(The Maritime Control Center?!? Man, how many techs are you ahead of me to get Doctrine Initiative?  :-\)

That is the same thought that went through my head and then I realized this:
1. He starts with Industrial Base.
2. He has built the Planetary Transit System and Human Genome Project. This means he has Industrial Automation which requires Planetary Networks and Industrial Economics.
3. Doctrine: Initiative requires Doctrine: Flexibility and Industrial Automation.
4. So he at least has Information Networks, Planetary Networks, Industrial Base, Industrial Economics, Industrial Automation, Doctrine: Mobility, Doctrine: Flexibility, and Biogentics.
5. He is probably running Free Market and Wealth which nets him +4 energy per base with an additional +1 energy per square.
6. His next target is probably Doctrine: Air Power and perhaps Adaptive Economics.

A bad thing that I can't get messages about when spore launchers destroy my enhancements.

Add Social Psych and Ethical Calculus. Not for a moment my breakthrough term was longer than 5 turns, and very often it was 3-4 turns. Actually at one moment I had to check my alphax.txt to make sure I use the proper file and I verified in the editor that my tech cost is correct. But it is, no doubt. That's the power of early FM and overall high ECONOMY combined with the PTS.

Also, I opened the game with Biogenetics, commenced 2 x Merchant Exchange and then immediately rushbought RecTanks when I got the tech. I kept doing it and now all my base tiles produce 7-9 energy, with additional bonus of food and mins.

If I may suggest something, I believe the best way to catch up is to focus on bases & population, i.e. mainly horizontal growth. Can't focus on fancy facilities and stuff like that until you have 'meat'.

Impossible to focus on "bases & population" only when I am under heavy attack from native life. Each turn I have 2-3 messages from attacks despite my military roaming the fungus to prevent them.
Whatever I do what I can.  8)

I'm not sure you can prevent native life by roaming fungus. In fact, you only produce more of it. I just try to keep my head down, scout with one probe team, and so far I had maybe 3 worms since I switched to FM.

Lucky man!
This turn only I had to burn down 3 worms. It brought me some money but that tells the story: they are everywhere.
I am pretty sure that a unit roaming a fungus square for the first time has much more possibility to spawn a worm than the second unit which will enter it. So I send my scouts to clear the way to my formers.
