As far as the retail parthenon and their sales, it's "Winter Holidays" > Back to School > Mother's Day > Easter > Valentines > Super Bowl > Father's Day > Halloween at barely half of Father's day...Thanksgiving isn't even worth a mention/gets lumped with "winter".  The 4th doesn't even register. 

Don't be fooled by the many erroneous reports that Halloween is #2.  That number is for DECOR spending, only.  Then people wonder why Halloween is hardly in stores, it's sandwiched between the two biggest retail "seasons".
