This, I would never, ever, even try to do - it's very beautiful, but the beauty is in the inhuman precision and detail of the decoration...  -Also because half of it would break off the first time someone breathed near it.

It's little angels surrounding the recumbant departed.  That's a crap snapshot of a very finely-crafted tomb that surely was actually set up level.

...

Aha!  I figured out how to get a lot less Angelna Jolie hits, and a lot more of the style of tomb at issue.

I think this one is a real possibility to model on.  Fewer/largers figures, and the effigy WILL be a transi, but otherwise, I like it.

You would.  Google "box tomb" and there are a lot of hits for that artist...

So you like the notion of the recessed, arched-and columned, niches for the side figures?  Nice to look at, but I don't know about how easy to do...

-Also, the model for the Tomb Raider 94, or Tomb Raider Underworld box and other art looked incredibly like Ali.  It's creeping me out a lot more than looking at all those tombs does.

Yeah arches could be problematic.  I could do squared recesses easily enough though, and spruce them up with some nice onlays or somthing.

I guess you could cheat with something wood, or cut off a catholic yard shrine, if you gave up on a solid original.

...Furniture parts not being that hard to come by, and you could make one column-and-arch niche mold and pour it in plaster several times to make the original for the whole sides that you put the relief figures in...

Going to do a test to see if I can cast foam in a plaster mold.  Can't find any info yea or nay.
