Could be - I spend so much time here playing nice that I'm starting to think I'm a good guy...

In other words, you are starting to believe your own lie.

Sir, I tell you true - pretending to be what you want to be well enough for long enough can be a big step towards actually being.

Dio, coincidentally, I was thinking last week that we could use the occasional casual topic thread in here, (some people I've tried to recruit in the past said we looked TOO hardcore for them) so I really appreciate you doing this kind of thread.

I think a lot of Dio' s posts are pretty casual, this one included. Unless movies and minds worms are hardcore, now.

Is that a criticism? Not that I would take serious offense to such a statement.

I think it's a compliment rather, in the sense he's stating your not a total hard case datajunky all the time. You are a hard case datajunky at times mind, but that's why we love you, we all have our roles and jobs we fill.

No, just stating a fact. No intent to offend, and sorry if I did.

Actually, like you said, this trait is what has allowed me to catch (or remember) things others have missed/forgotten.
