How do you feel about the jury system in the United States of America? What stories, if any, do you have about the jury system? The jury system appears flawed in several areas because the jurors, in many instances, do not want to attend the trial. The absence of interest in the trial can bias the members against the system. The jurors also often perceive any wrong doing as an indicator of guilt despite the presence of numerous qualifiers towards the contrary. The apathy among the jurors remains an example among the people about the importance of civic duty in the revitalization of patriotic duty.

t apathy translates to the voting population, where I have known people whom don't vote, due to not wanting to be selected for a jury...

I say, tough sh#t, if you are not a participant of the process, then don't b!tch about the process. I am a proud Veteran whom has been called a few times to Jury duty and have actively sat on one civil case. Most times, I call in on the date and don't even need to show up...
