Congratulations to AC2's newest mod, Yitzi (http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?action=profile;u=11221), who has been working tirelessly on widening Alpha Centurai's customization options and fixing various bugs by decompiling and editing the .exe by hand for about a year and a half, releasing a huge number of patches (http://alphacentauri2.info/wiki/Yitzi%27s_patch) and adding a dazzling array of new things for modders to play with (http://alphacentauri2.info/wiki/New_alphax_variables_in_Yitzi%27s_patch). He's now a mod of the bugs&patches forum. Let's let him know we all appreciate his improvements to the game we all love!

Yitzi has been a stalwart worker in the interests of the community for a long time now, and I cherish his friendship, too, not just his support.

Many thanks: for the fixes and the explanations behind them. SMAC turned 15 this year, but is still fresh and new for me.

Actually, I've got a fairly low INDUSTRY score...but a bit at a time does add up.

I'd give you more TALENT but SMACX supports only as much... unless you modified that one as well  ;)

Oh, it only now hit me Yitzi has become a moderator. Thought it was a 'congrats' thread for all his work as .exe modder. ;lol ;b;

It was ete's idea, but the same thought had crossed my mind before - empowering trusted people who do a lot for the community is usually a good idea.

And I don't trust just anyone.
