Yitzi's unofficial SMAX patch 2.5c

Fixed a bug that would allow pods to complete stockpile energy.

This patch requires all other files from 2.5.

Okay, I need to ask Yitzi the first dumb question before someone beats me to it:

Does the edited alphax.txt for have any changes outside the #RULES section?
I've made quite a lot of changes to my alphax.txt, so I'll have to go line-by line anyway, and it will help to know where to look for your changes among mine. I'm almost finished with my current game, and I want to use your patch for the next game.

You could use an editor like Notepad++ and use the "compare" function between your alphax and Yitzi's to see the differences. :)

Yes, two:
1. The technology marked for the Ascent to Transcendence now works normally...so in order to have it work as it did pre-patch and allow anyone to build it once the Voice is built, its prerequisite needs to be changed to None.  (Of course, if you want it to require a different tech, you should use that instead.)
2. The cost for Stockpile Energy is now used for how many minerals it takes to produce 1 energy, so it has to be changed from 0 to 2 (or a different number if you'd like to make Stockpile weaker or stronger.)

I found a minor bug. This bug involves the turn and turns label that pops up for the build road option under the Terraform menu options. To fix the bug change jnz short terranx_.00461B3F at address 00461B30 to jge short terranx_.00461B3F. Attached below are two screenshots illustrating said bug.

I found a minor bug. This bug involves the turn and turns label that pops up for the build road option under the Terraform menu options. To fix the bug change jnz short terranx_.00461B3F at address 00461B30 to jge short terranx_.00461B3F.

While that technically works because the only bug would be when something takes 0 or fewer turns which shouldn't happen, it's better to make it work without that "bug", which is done by changing 461B2D from CMP EBX, 1 to TEST EBX, EBX.  It will be included in the next patch.
