Title: Any Interest in Larger Maps?

I make them for my solo-play 3-4 times a year.
I have one from 3 years ago: 360x180.
I have the Worldbuilder make one, then I edit it to add all the landmarks and spread them out and to "fix" anything that doesn't look right, such as navigable waterways and suchlike stuff.
I don't worry about trying to achieve a good selection of landing sites; it's a map of a world that doesn't want you there.
I have no experience with small or medium maps - I jumped right in making 256x256 until I discovered how to make them bigger. I wouldn't know how to make a multi-player map.
So, if anyone wants to see the one I have, or wants one made but doesn't want to do it themself, drop a post with some basic settings and give me about a week, I'll come up with a world you can curse at while still having a good time :)

I have just the one saved - I'll post it. I can pound out another in about a week and post that, too. What about file size? The 360x180 is 2.72 MB.

The size limit is 8MB.  You'll have noticed that we have a section for map (http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?action=downloads;cat=8)s that needs a little fleshing out.

Not to dispirit you, gwilly, but personally I never got a kick out of huge maps. I'd never :look: the end of it...
