Title: So, has anyone come up with additional Base names for the stock factions?

When I'm not feeling especially competitive I tend to play a Builder game, which means that (before too long) I'm building bases with names like "Kappa Sector".  In other words, I run through the list of default base names WAY too quickly.
Has anyone come up with a list of additional base names that fit in with the default names for SMACx factions?

I have the same issue in big games, and thought the same. Turns out lots of people have. I made a big project post: http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?topic=2681.msg13965#msg13965 (http://alphacentauri2.info/index.php?topic=2681.msg13965#msg13965) for collecting and creating, but no replies/interest :(

A few things should be changed (mostly adding links to wiki) but otherwise, post there if you want to help. I'll include versions of official text files with added basenames in the ultimate faction pack when it's ready, so they'll be distributed fairly easily.

Wow!  How did I miss that?  (Ah...it was a couple weeks before I joined.)  Thanks for this, ete; if I have any useful suggestions I'll provide them, but I'll readily admit an utter lack of creativity when it comes to naming.

I know of several old threads along those lines at WPC, and I think there are one or two here.  It doesn't take a lot of compling of past efforts before you've got a pretty long list.
