I think we agreed to exactly the same setup and rules as the last game, except new faction choices?  Is that right, roninscg?

How do you want to do faction choices?  We could do it where one of us gets the 1st and 4th pick of factions, and the other gets the 2nd and 3rd pick of factions.  Does that work for you?  If so, would you prefer pick 1 & 4, or pick 2 & 3?

Pirates and Aliens are banned.  Any other faction choice is OK.  Neither of us can pick both University and Cycon (but each of us can pick one of them if we want).  Does this sound good to you?

The settings all look good, except for one thing.  Each faction starts with two formers, right?  Or did we have more formers?  I don't recall.  Anyway, pick any number of starting formers from 2-4, and that is fine with me.

As for factions, if you give me first pick, you know I am going to take University.

So with that in mind, you can either recend your decision and take first pick yourself, or you go ahead and pick your two factions now.

That's perfectly OK.  You have the freedom to take any factions you wanted (other than Pirates or Aliens) for picks 2 and 3. 

And 4 formers is fine, too.  That will give use a faster start.

For my last pick, I will pick the Free Drones.

t_ras, have we forgotten any information you need to start the game?

I will be leaving on a cruise Sunday morning, and will be gone until the next Sunday.  I will have no internet access for that week (poor me  ;) ).

I will be sure to play any turn that arrives by Sunday morning before I go.

Sorry pals, having my comp with problems  left me begind with th work here. Just finished fixing my comp today and did lot of SMAC activity left behind. Ill be doing it this week some day.

We have a few small setup problems in the game.  I hope they won't be too much trouble for t_ras to correct:

1. Ron's factions should both go first.  Ron, what order do you want to go in?  Morgan then Aki?  Or Aki then Morgan?

2. My factions should go 3rd and 4th.  I would like University 3rd, and Free Drones 4th.

3. University is accidently pacted with a different faction than than Free Drones.  University pacts with Free Drones; Aki pacts with Morgan.

4. There were no starting terraformers.  Each faction starts with 4 formers.
