Title: hidden units don't block food
Post by: bvanevery on December 11, 2018, 08:09:12 PM
fungus base is surrounded
fungus base is surrounded
fungus base still gets food
fungus base still gets food

This base should be starving.  I put it into mineral loss this turn, so I know the squares around the base are updating as far as what can be worked.  I suppose the fungus is so thick, the people in the city go right on picking without noticing all the enemy troops!

I think it's by design, however I haven't used cloaked units myself. But I see there's a mind worm occupying a fungus patch that's displayed as unoccupied, they do gain cloaked effect if no one hits them directly, and this effect I have been experiencing a lot of times. I think if a cloaked unit would reveal themselves by interrupting city production, wouldn't it be counter-intuitive to its designed use of surprise attacks? So yes, they just hide in fungus being aware of the workers harvesting it for food and energy while not allowing those civilians to alert the military.

A doctrine of remaining cloaked no matter the circumstances is lame.
