Title: Faction - weak (relatively in military, research, average builder)

Preparing a scenario, maybe even that would be GotM.
To explain the question more:
Which faction (excluding aliens) is relatively weak in military, also in research, but possibly average builder. Not good builder. Maybe no faction fits that criteria, but then, which one is the closest.
The scenario would have AI faction enhanced, but the question is for the faction the human player would play, and there would be no modifications of it.

Weak militarily and in research does not mean, that negative parameters would be necessary, it could be effect of something else/combined etc. Like for example faction having problems with energy would have research effected.

Well I never got the whole builder vs. military thing since all factions do both.  In other words none are so extreme that they don't expand and grow a little before making military.

Overall I'd rate Cult as the weakest of any faction though.  Believers as the weakest of the original seven.

Cult is a weak faction it always was. The - industry kills it.

Maybe this thread could be somewhat differently designed. I will try to make a categorization of all these 12 factions with respect to mentioned areas.
This will take some time...

Even the designed thought the cult was weak as I recall. The Drones are probably the most powerful faction
in the game though.

It's not easy to assign values here, cause they are also connected. And these areas can show differently in factions depending on circumstances.
But I would not like to make special faction modifications and do not modify map too much. So some decision must be made.

Do you see any faction in this table that should be put in some other category? I mean between strong/average/weak.

They seem pretty good though I might put Drones in the Strong military category.

As for good builders, I put only Morganities and Drones, but I wonder, if University should be there too. Maybe Hive also.
However, University has just good research, so this is in large part due to it. Maybe the area "Builder" here should be rather called "Industrial"

Well typically good builder factions can just outproduce the momentum factions.  Either by tech or volume.  Granted if you mod the game to make the momentum SEs more valuable then it balances out the factions more as well.

A lot of the strength values really depends on play style. For instance the Believers actually make a fairly decent
builder faction if played right just because of the +support. Likewise the Morganites can have enough money to
flat out buy a military if left alone long enough.
