It reminds me of the book The Lazarus Effect by Frank Herbert and Bill Ransom.

Was that book so bad? I haven't read the series yet, but consider it.

I hated it.  All the impenetrable Herbert babble about the nature of consciousness with virtually none of the interesting setting.

So anyone from forum members played that expansion already?
What is experience? Better than SMACX? Worse? About the same?

I have played the game and was not impressed. The expansion no I haven't.
I wasn't about to throw good money after bad.

I'm curious about this game. I tried Beyond Earth and was terribly disappointed. Is this the expansion we want?
