Strange... I see an image saying "Sorry, you are not allowed to view this file. Make sure you are connected to the server."

I'll have a look at the permissions settings; meanwhile, try again and make sure it's not a connection glitch or something with the server...

That should be fixed, now - it seems to have defaulted the permissions only to lurkers.  I'll see about changing the defaults, or get sisko on it if I can't find where to do it.

Can you see the Mods submenu Art Modding?  Can you open it?  Same problem with the other bases files?

I can get into the folder, yes, but I cannot view any downloads inside it.

I can open the pages, just the images themselves give that message. The error is an image.

Huh.  I was just able to look at those pages logged out and with my test DL, a regular member.  It may be prejudice against poke'mon fans or GotM staffers - I have no way to grant access to poke'mon fans, in particular, but GotM staff was specifically granted access...  We need sisko.

Okay, I think it was something to do with your PC rank and me being sloppy setting access to my album - it being started yesterday as a test and all.  I rescinded that modship, 'cause I don't think it will have anything to do with it, and I ain't got no business handing those positions out unilaterally. 

You should be able to see now anyway, I think.  Let me know...

If not, log out, and see if you can see albums and pics from same as a guest.  We need to eliminate some possibilties, and it's beginning to look like it's at your end...

I'm thinking that it might be browser related. I used FireFox to open this page, and now your space image appears BUncle, in both browsers. It might just not like my version of IE...

Lots of people.  Let's not be stupid browser snobs in the face of the Microsoft monopoly - that's a counterproductive attitude I hate.  People are going to keep using what the demon Gates hands out, and we have to deal with it.

This is a very old version of IE6, 6 years old really... :| I use FireFox for more serious browsing, but it is a lot slower so I prefer using IE for forums and so on.

The issue remains BU. :) If I use FF to open the page it'll work but not otherwise.

Nice work, by the way. I like the last base a lot actually.

Try updating your version of IE, then.  Maybe back up IE6 first, just in case 9 is slower...

The chinese-looking open market building?  These GC2 structures are an odd-looking lot, but many have great personality.  I'm only into the Ds, and then I'm going to make some more conventional-looking bases from Age of Empires II down the road.

Same with Chrome. I could see some of your pictures earlier (last friday?), in FF, but now it doesn't seem to work.

However, let's not panic. As long as all the graphics guys can see them we're ok. I will want to be able to see attached pictures eventually, but there's no rush.

I'd hate it if we couldn't get the album pictures universally visiable - that would be a pain, and more load on the server when I want to use the same picture in more than one place.

Complete agreement - aside from my official duties, I'm an art guy, and I need the album thing working and viewable.

the problem is that i cannot reproduce your issues  >:(
already tried deleting cookies and history, using different browsers, using different computers..
the only thing i noticed is a somehow increased loading times for gallery items in IE.

Rym - I just found out yesterday that a user couldn't see album-linked pictures in posts; you had that problem with the Swedish flag icons I posted on the last page, and also could see them fine in the album.  Are you browsing with Mozilla Firefox, by any chance?  We traced to problem to Firefox, and are working on that.  It all works in IE...

I usually use Chrome. When I try viewing them in FF I don't even see the outlines of the pictures, which is all I see in Chrome. I have no idea why, though.

Hmm.  We haven't been able to replicate the problem on at least two different machines with two different releases of Firefox - IE seems to always work for that, though, and this is the first we've heard about the problem in Chrome.  It's probably something in your and Mylochka's security settings.

Folks - we need your help.  Making the forum work for everyone is VERY important.  We've been unable to replicate these problems ourselves, and need more information.  If you have a problem seeing album-linked pictures in posts, please PLEASE let us know; we need to know what browser your problem is in, what update version of the browser, how it works in any other browsers you can check with, and what versions they are.
