I wonder if they'll ever make an expansion pack including or mentioning Chiron and all the old groups in the lore...

They do have "exoplanet pack" with different flora and fauna and even landscapes. If that is possible, I am sure someone may be able to create a Planet like SMAC/X type random map script.

In my humble opinion, Civ4's Planetfall mod showed a pretty good semblance.
